# π° Mine-Play: Lands & Nations System Welcome to the official guide for the Lands plugin on Mine-Play! This page explains how land claiming, upkeep, taxes, teleportation, and PvP systems work on our server β tailored for our unique gameplay rules. --- ## π Land Creation & Management ### π¨ Creating a Land * **Cost:** `$1000` * Must be created **before** you can claim land. * The first land creation automatically claims the chunk you are standing in. ### π Land Naming Rules * **No spaces**: Spaces will be replaced with `_`. * **Max Length:** 24 characters. * **Formatting:** Chat colors, formatting codes, and numbers are allowed. * **Renaming a Land:** Costs `$2000`, and can only be done once every **24 hours**. * **Transferring Ownership:** Costs `$5000`. ### π Buffer Zone * Lands and Nations both have a **buffer zone of 3 chunks Euclidean** around them. > π *Euclidean* means the distance is calculated as a straight line (βas the crow fliesβ), not just along the X or Z axis. Diagonal chunks count toward this radius. ### π Claiming Chunks * Lands **can claim non-contiguous chunks** (they do not have to touch existing claims). * **First Chunk Cost:** `$100` * **Incremental Increase:** Each subsequent chunk costs 10% more than the last, capped at `$300`. * **Refund on Unclaiming:** 50% of the chunk's original cost is returned to the land bank. --- ## ποΈ Camps * Temporary 1-chunk claim called a **Camp**. * **Cost:** `$300` * **Expires:** After 24 hours. --- ## π΅ Economy: Upkeep & Taxes ### ποΈ Upkeep System * **Upkeep Cycle:** Every 7 days. * **Cost:** `$3 per claimed chunk` * If a land can't afford the full upkeep, the **most recently claimed chunks are unclaimed first**. * **Grace Period:** Lands are **exempt from upkeep** if it comes due within 2 days of creation. * **Land Bank Fallback:** If the land bank lacks funds, the **owner's personal balance is used**. ### πΈ Taxes * Paid by land members **every 7 days**. * **Minimum:** `$0` * **Maximum:** `$500 per area` * If a member cannot pay, they are **automatically removed** from the land. ### β οΈ Payment Warnings * The server will issue a warning **2 days before** upkeep or taxes are due if the bank is underfunded. --- ## π Teleportation & Movement ### π§ Land Spawn * First use of `/lands setspawn` is **free**. * Changing spawn after that costs `$150` per change. ### π¦ Teleport to Land * **Cost:** `$150` (goes to land's bank). * **Delay:** 3 seconds of no damage. * **Who Pays:** Only **untrusted players** are charged. ### π² Wilderness Teleport * Use `/lands wild` to teleport to a random location. * **Cost:** `$200` * **Cooldown:** Once every 10 minutes. --- ## π Trust & Membership * Players **must be invited** before they can be trusted. * You **cannot directly trust** a player without inviting them first. --- ## π‘οΈ PvP & Combat * If you're **attacked by another player**, you become **PvP-tagged** for **30 seconds**. * While tagged, you can be damaged or killed even in safe lands. * **Combat Logging:** Logging out while tagged **results in death**. * This system prevents abuse of land protections during combat. --- ## β Inactivity & Land Expiry Lands will be **transferred or deleted** based on the owner's **playtime** and **offline duration**: | Playtime | Offline Expiry | | ---------- | -------------- | | 15 minutes | 7 days | | 30 minutes | 14 days | | 12 hours | 30 days | | 1 day | 60 days | | 30 days | 80 days | * Once the owner surpasses the threshold, the land is **transferred** to the next most active member. * If no members remain, the land is **deleted** automatically. --- ## π§ Admin Notice * **Admins can see land chat.** Avoid using it to share sensitive information (e.g. passwords, personal data).
